Minnesotan museums to visit for free with your kids

Trying to keep your kids busy and at the same time maintain your sanity? I know it can be hard during winter time and that's why I prefer to take mine out of the house as often as possible. Otherwise they'll turn everything upside down. Sure this will keep them busy but spirited as they are, they will drain my energy pretty quickly.
Taking them to the museums is a good option and the Twin Cities have many interesting museums to visit. Some of them can be visited for free and others have special free day admission.
