A New Christmas Tradition: Hollidazzle Village featuring Minneapolis Holiday Market

Living  in Europe for most of my life, I had the chance of visiting several German Christmas Markets and I loved each and every one of them. There is something about wandering in the cold air with a cup of mulled wine in one hand and a bratwurst in the other while shopping for handcrafted gifts. It's the festive feeling, the strong aromas of spices, the tasty pastry, the beautifully decorated heart-shaped ginger biscuits, the music, the lights that make it one of a kind Christmas experience.

Guess what? Starting this year, there will be such a Christmas Market right here, in Minneapolis, at Peavey Piaza, corner of Nicollet Mall and 11th Street! It's called Minneapolis Holiday Market and will run from November 28 to Christmas Eve.

The Minneapolis Holiday Market is part of the Hollidazzle Village, where you'll have something new and unique to explore each night: opening night fireworks, glass blowing demonstrations, dog sledding exhibitions, ice skating on Nicollet Mall.

The Holidazzle Village along Nicollet Mall will be open the Friday after Thanksgiving (Nov 28) and weekends (Saturday-Sunday) through December. It's free to the public and runs from 3 pm - 8 pm

The Minneapolis Holiday Market will run daily (Nov 28 - Dec 24) from 11 am - 9 pm ( 6 pm on Dec 24). There will be a one- time fee between $3-$6 which will grant season-long access.
